Save and resume a project

MetaWrap saves everything it needs in the Project Folder.

• Click Save Project and give the character a clear name: MetaWrap creates a folder with that name in Documents/MetaWrap, or in the folder you chose in Preferences.
• Jobs folders are automatically named working folders, created before you give your project a name. Logs is there for support.
• Your project folder stores the Blender scene, and the geometry and maps generated during the workflow.
• Open Project Folder opens your MetaWrap projects folder: open your character's folder to find its files. Resume Project reopens a saved project where you left it.
• Don't rearrange the MetaWrap interface: the two views and the panels are designed to work together. Move between steps with the buttons in the panel.

For the recommended workflow, use Save Project to save and Resume Project to continue working: MetaWrap keeps every file exactly where the pipeline expects it.
